Velinda Ward

Velinda Ward, originally from Southern California, began her career in communications with ATT over 25 years ago. She moved to Las Vegas to begin her career as a network engineer for ATT and later moved into consultative sales. Her love for solving problems and genuinely helping others quickly moved her into management roles to design and sell technology solutions for large complex customers. At 25, she worked on a team that supported Farmers Insurance and Blue Cross, Blue Shield. Since that time she has sold and managed large accounts such as TMobile, Bausch and Lomb, iHeart Media and the worldwide operations of Mr. Steve Wynn’s hotel communications solution in both Las Vegas and Macau. She has experience consulting and managing sales in a matrix style manner to ensure successful sales and deployments of hotel properties in Macau, Hong Kong and Dubai. Velinda is very adventurous and loves the outdoors and diving. She has traveled to a new diving destination out of the country every year since her and her husband were married 20 years ago. Her favorite diving spots so far are Fiji, Red Sea and Philippines. They got married under water in Grand Cayman. Velinda attended Harbor Community College in California. She earned her education through ATT, via a Mini MBA course ATT funded, attended over 1000 hours in professional skills development at all employment positions with ATT, Lucent, Avaya, Windstream and CenturyLink, all major firms offering world class training. She has certificates in completing many technology courses from Cloud, Virtualization, CRM, Effective Communication Skills, Network design and planning, and Executive sales methodologies such as Miller Heiman, SPIN, and Target Account Selling.
